ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Two men have been arrested and Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two more men in a violent home invasion.
Daematris Stokes, 20, of Orangeburg, is charged with first-degree burglary, criminal conspiracy, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and kidnapping. Bond was set at $135,000 on Thursday.
Last Friday, Brandon Donte Norman-Berry, 21, was served warrants for the same charges. His bond was set over the weekend at $300,000.
Two more are wanted in connection with a home invasion that occurred on February 27 on Throne Drive. Family members told deputies around 10:20 p.m., someone knocked on their door. As they went to open the door, four men forced their way inside the home.
One of the gunmen held the four occupants at gunpoint while the others rummaged through the house. The gunmen removed several pieces of electronics and shoes before forcing the victims to their knees in a back room of the residence.
By the time it was over, sheriff's investigators said the victims were left inside a room blocked by a mattress while the four suspects fled the residence.
"If they can sit down and put a plan together to do a home invasion, they can put a plan together to find a job," the sheriff said. "Enough is enough."
