Deputies identify man wanted for attempted murder in shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff's deputies have identified a man wanted for a shooting in Lower Richland County Saturday.

Jonathan Edward Rutherford, 24, is wanted for attempted murder. He is accused of shooting a person Saturday on Trotter Road.

Deputies say Rutherford got into an altercation with the victim and pulled his vehicle in front of the one the victim was driving on Trotter Road, forcing it to stop. Rutherford is accused of shooting the victim in the torso.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Deputies did not release the gender of the victim.
