RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff says an employee took a set of keys left at a restaurant and used them to steal a Land Rover from the parking lot.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Tavian Raynord Richardson was working at the Panera Bread on Percival road when a customer left the keys to his SUV behind. Lott says the victim was able to get a ride home to get another set of keys but when he returned to the restaurant, his vehicle was gone.

Investigators went through the restaurant's surveillance video and it showed an employee, later identified as Richardson, taking the keys from a table. Lott says Richardson stole the vehicle and parked it behind the Walmart across the street to go back and get at a later time.

Richardson is charged with grand larceny. He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
