LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Two people are in jail in Lexington County after leading deputies on a high-speed chase on Platt Springs Road Thursday.
Deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department say the driver of the car, 25-year-old Daniel Hill, is charged with failure to stop for blue lights. The passenger in Hill's vehicle, 26-year-old Brittany Knight, was charged with third-degree assault and battery.
Deputies say they were trying to serve a warrant to Knight at a home on Platt Springs Road Thursday afternoon when she and Hill refused to get out the car and drove off. Knight was wanted by deputies on an assault and battery bench warrant.
Deputies say the chase lasted about five minutes and covered a distance of approximately five miles.
Both people were arrested without incident, according to deputies, after Hill pulled over.
