CHARLESTON, SC (WIS) - A former U.S. Department of Corrections officer has been sentenced after he was convicted of smuggling and providing drugs for an inmate.

Anthony Jermaine Creech, 39, was convicted and sentenced to 6 months in prison, 6 months of house arrest, and one year of supervised release.

Creech, according to investigators, admitted to smuggling an ounce marijuana into the Estill Federal Correction Institution in Estill back in January 2015.
