COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Lexington County Sheriff's Department says an attempted traffic stop ended in a high-speed chase and crash Thursday afternoon.
According to sheriff's department spokesman Lt. Adam Myrick, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a woman after observing what they believed could be a stolen car.
When the woman did not stop, a pursuit began.
The pursuit ended when the driver crashed on Highway 321.
The suspect has not been identified, but she has been charged with failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, and an alcohol-related charge for having an open container.
