SILVERSTREET, SC (WIS) - Newberry County sheriff's deputies made an arrest of a "major player" in the drug selling community of the county, according to Sheriff Lee Foster.

Derrikus Raphael Oliver, 33, was arrested and charged with trafficking crack cocaine, trafficking cocaine, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Deputies say they made several undercover drug purchases from Oliver over the past several months and that led them to execute a search warrant on his home Thursday afternoon.

Oliver, according to Foster, possessed more than 15 grams of crack, approximately 40 grams of cocaine, several ounces of marijuana, and two pistols at his residence at the time of his arrest.

"This is the second large drug arrest we have made in this community within the last three months," Foster said.

Oliver appeared before a judge where bond was denied.
