COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A traffic stop for failure to yield to the right of way on Interstate 26 yielded 258 grams of heroin, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Ceja Wenceslao Ceja, 27, has been charged with trafficking in heroin following the traffic stop.

Sheriff's deputies pulled over Ceja on Interstate 26 near St. Andrews Road on Tuesday after he failed to yield properly, the Sheriff's Department said. When the deputy approached the car, he said Ceja began acting suspicious.

The deputy then brought in his K9 to check the car, and the K9 alerted there was something inside the car.

A further check of the car yielded a package with a white powdery substance that was identified as heroin.

Ceja was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
