COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The president of Allen University is out of a job.

Multiple sources confirm to WIS Dr. Lady June Cole was escorted off the university's Columbia campus Friday morning. A reason was not given but last month we reported students protesting over complaints of living conditions and buildings in need of repair. There have also been concerns about the school's finances.

Sources tell WIS the University's Board of Trustees has already named a new president and that person will start Monday morning. The name of the new president has not been given.

Allen University has been accredited since 1992. According to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the university was last affirmed in 2007. The school is due for its accreditation reaffirmation in 2017.
