LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The driver of a car that was turning left into a driveway was killed Wednesday night when a pickup trying to pass several cars collided with the vehicle on Crystal Springs Road.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a late-model Chevy pick-up truck was attempting to pass a line of vehicles around 8:25 p.m. when the collision happened. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. Troopers say he was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the sedan, 62-year-old Stanley P. Rysz, Jr., was turning into his own driveway. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being trapped in the car because of the crash, troopers said.
The identity of the other driver has not been released.
There is no word on any charges.
