ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - Three Orangeburg residents are charged in a kidnapping and robbery after police were called when a man claimed someone was trying to kill him.

Justin Michael Binnicker, 28; Michael Levi Craven, 23; and Melissa Braxton Fields, 43, are each charged with kidnapping. Binnicker and Craven are also charged with robbery.

At about 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to El Toro Bar and Grill on Chestnut Street after a male went inside asking for help after stating someone was trying to kill him, an incident report states. Police later found the victim inside a fence at The Plant Depot.

The 27-year-old victim said he went to The Southern Lodge to meet Binnicker. The victim said Binnicker came out of his room to meet the victim and then duct taped him around his wrist and held him against his will. The victim eventually left his vehicle at the Lodge and ran to get help, the report states.

Orangeburg Department of Public Safety officers found Binnicker, Craven and Fields at the Lodge. Fields claimed that the victim came to the hotel room with a bag of what she believed to be drugs. The report said Fields also explained that Binnicker went to the victim's car and took his car radio. Fields told police that she didn't want to have anything to do with what was going on in the hotel room, so she left. A short time later, she told police that the victim ran from the room and the other males in the room then took the victim's SUV.

Orangeburg DPS is still investigating the case.

Binnicker, Craven and Fields are still in custody at the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
