Police search for person of interest in theft from gas station

LEXINGTON, SC (WIS) - Lexington Police are searching for a person involved in a shoplifting and grand larceny case at a gas station last weekend.

Police said that at about 8:30 a.m. July 23 a man entered the S-Mart, located at 4301 Sunset Blvd., and filled a large gray backpack with beer from the store's cooler. The man then entered an unlocked office and stole a large amount of cash that was left on the desk, police said.

The man was wearing a white T-shirt, long denim shorts, black tennis shoes and sunglasses. Police estimate his age to be between 35 and 45.
