COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Richland County deputies are investigating a high-speed chase between two cars, which included gunfire, and ended with a car crashed into a home.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a call at about 4 a.m. Saturday morning of two cars chasing each other. One of the cars, a Mazda, ended up crashing into a home on Folkstone Court.

Deputies say the occupant(s) of the Mazda fled the scene of the crash. There were no injuries reported in the crash.

Deputies then responded to a local hospital where they say a victim with gunshot wounds to the upper body was a part of the car chase. The victim's injuries are non-life-threatening and deputies say this person was not in the Mazda.

No arrests have been made in this incident but RCSD continues to investigate.
