COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Don't be alarmed if you hear and see military helicopters in the skies over Columbia the next few days.
Apache helicopters from Pennsylvania's Army National Guard will be joining South Carolina's Army National Guard for annual training in the early afternoon.
The helicopters will fly over Columbia before heading to Fort Stewart, Georgia. More than 400 soldiers will be training for gunnery skills.
The South Carolina Army National Guard says you may see them today and Saturday as they head over for training.
The AH-64D Longbow is the same type of helicopter that U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter recently mentioned is currently engaged in fighting ISIS in the Middle East.
