COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Franklin Graham, the son of famed televangelist Billy Graham, held a prayer rally at the State House as the political spotlight begins to turn on South Carolina.
Graham's "Decision America 2016 Tour" is heading to all 50 states as the presidential nomination process heats up until the November 2016 election.
And if the turnout in the middle of a Tuesday is any indication, Graham's message resonates with a lot of people. This was the tour's fifth stop after kicking off in Iowa. It is probably not a coincidence that Graham has already been to New Hampshire in the early stages of the tour.
"I want to get to as many Christians as I can to vote in the next election," Graham said. "Our country is going in the wrong direction. And I think some of the politicians that are running have tapped into the anger and the frustration in this country. And I want Christians to know that their vote does count and we've taken God out of government, schools and everything else and we need to get God back into it."
The rally took place at the State House at 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
