Police: Suspect shot man during robbery, stole couple's car in broad daylight

SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Investigators in Sumter are now searching for a man accused of attempted murder.

According to the Sumter Police Department, 22-year-old Trey Lorenzo Moore allegedly approached a couple in a vehicle and robbed them at about 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday at a convenience store on South Guignard Drive.

Police say the male victim was shot before Moore left in the victims' vehicle. The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The woman in the car was not injured.
