COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee was campaigning in the Midlands Sunday.
The former governor of Arkansas was at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce meeting voters. But before, he delivered the Sunday sermon and performed with the church choir and praise band.
Huckabee has drifted away from the top GOP candidates. But he says the polls won't necessarily predict what will happen at the Iowa caucus.
"I think people right now...rather than paying attention to all the mechanics of the race are starting to pay attention to their petition in life," Huckabee said. "They're starting to say look, these policies that the government have been carrying out have hurt me. They've hurt my children my grandchildren. They want a candidate who has been able to successfully lead."
The Republican candidates face off in Iowa on January 28th. The GOP primary in South Carolina is February 20th.
