RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff's Deputies say a couple's argument over chicken led to a stabbing Tuesday night.

Deputies were called to a report of a domestic fight with a weapon at a home on Ranch Road at about 9 p.m. Tuesday. Arriving deputies found a man lying on the ground in front of the house with a stab wound.

Investigators determined the couple got into an argument over chicken when it turned physical. Deputies say the husband knocked out the wife with a punch. When she came to, deputies say she stabbed him several times in the torso.

Both were taken to the hospital. The husband's stab wounds are not considered life-threatening.

Deputies continue to investigate.
