Richland deputies looking for robbers who kidnapped, beat special needs man

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Investigators are looking for two people who kidnapped, beat and robbed a special needs man on Sunday afternoon.
Richland County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to Tyeu Trail just before 2 p.m.
Deputies say a 44-year-old man, who has special needs, was walking near the 3000 block of River Drive when two men pulled next to him and forced him into a vehicle at gunpoint.
The men drove the victim to Tyeu Trail and Bakersfield Road where they forced the him out of the vehicle, deputies said. The men then beat the victim in the upper body then stole his book bag containing a Bank of America card and cash and drove away.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Palmetto Baptist Hospital.
Deputies did not release an adequate description of either of the two robbers.
