COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A Richland County man has pleaded guilty to Felony DUI resulting in death, leaving the scene with death, leaving the scene with property damage, and habitual traffic offender.

Arthuro Rios Torres was charged after a multi-vehicle collision on Percival Road back in April that killed Roxina Mack.

Authorities say Torres was driving about 55 miles per hour when he crashed into the back on a 2003 Ford Explorer sending it into oncoming traffic. The Explorer collided head-on with Mack's 2012 Scion.

Other drivers involved in the crash suffered injuries. However, Mack was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told authorities they saw Torres crawl from his vehicle, which ended up overturned in a ditch, and leave the scene on foot.

Officers found Torres and brought him back to the scene. Authorities was given a field sobriety test and was then arrested and charged at the scene.

Torres will serve 20 years for Felony DUI and leaving the scene with death. He will also serve one year for leaving the scene with property damage and five years on the habitual traffic offender charge.
