COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Richland County Sheriff Department have arrested two men for the armed robbery of a credit union on Garner's Ferry.

Deputies say that they arrested 21-year-old Terrance Bouknight and 21-year-old Clarence Nesmith. Bouknight's charges include two counts of armed robbery and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Nesmith is being charged with robbery.

Deputies say just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Bouknight entered an SC Federal Credit Union on Garner's Ferry posing as a customer while Nesmith served as a lookout. Deputies say that Bouknight then pointed a handgun at employees and placed a bag on the counter demanding money.

Bouknight and Nesmith fled the area with the cash they received in a Dodge Avenger according to deputies.

Investigators say they were able to identify and arrest the two men through descriptions and information provided from the robbery.

Both men have been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
