Towering Steve Spurrier banner removed from Williams-Brice Stadium

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The University of South Carolina is removing the towering banner of Steve Spurrier off the side of Williams-Brice Stadium near Bluff Road, according to the USC Athletics Department.
Department spokesman Steve Fink confirmed the banner's removal as the Gamecocks continue to search for the man to replace Spurrier after the Head Ball Coach's abrupt resignation in October.

The banner was hoisted on to the stadium at the beginning of the 2014 season to honor Spurrier as the winningest coach in South Carolina history.
