Man's arrest leads to over $48,000 in drugs seized

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A man has been arrested by the Columbia Police Department and now faces multiple drug charges after authorities said they discovered over $48,000 in drug paraphernalia.

Jeremie Woods, 22, has been charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking crack cocaine, trafficking heroin, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Police were tipped off to illegal drug sales at a home on the 5700 block of Farrow Road. During their investigation, officers found Woods inside of a sport utility vehicle with the strong smell of marijuana coming from it.

Officers along with a K-9 unit searched the vehicle and found cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, and marijuana inside of a bag.

Woods is currently being detained at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center with a $40,000 bond.
