COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Former South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier may be getting ready to ride out into the college football sunset -- at least in the Palmetto State, that is -- but that's not stopping him from getting in one last dig at an old nemesis.
Much ink has been spilled on the feud between Spurrier and former The State sports columnist Ron Morris.
Spurrier went so far as to publicly exclude Morris from a regularly scheduled news conference after the Head Ball Coach claimed a column written by Morris was "fabricated."

Spurrier also singled him out during a news conference in 2012.
"As all of you know we've got a negative guy over here that tries to hurt our football program," Spurrier said, pointing out Morris in the audience. "Which is he's got a right to do that."
Morris has not worked at the paper since May 2015.
In his final interview with WIS -- airing Monday at 11 p.m., by the way -- Spurrier traded good byes with our Rick Henry.
"Well, you're one of the good guys, Rick, and really, most all the people of Columbia are honest, and fair, and tell it like it is," Spurrier said.
Spurrier then proceeds to wind up for the pitch.
"I really only had problems with one guy, but he's gone now, so at least I outlasted him," Spurrier said, capping it off with the trademark smirk.
