FOREST ACRES, SC (WIS) - A GoFundMe page started for the Forest Acres Police Department officer killed in the line of duty Wednesday morning has raised more than $100,000.

Officer Greg Alia, 32, was shot inside Richland Mall following a call on a suspicious person. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

In response, a fundraiser page has been set up in his honor to help his family cover funeral costs.

"Greg will always be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who was always warm and welcoming with a big smile on his face and a great sense of humor," the page's description reads.
