Coroner: Woman found dead in Columbia home was strangled

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Coroner's Office has ruled the cause of death for a woman who was found dead in a Columbia home on Tuesday to be homicide.
Gary Watts said 46-year-old Ann Marie Johnson died from strangulation.
Columbia police officers found Johnson at her home on Paul Street while performing a welfare check around 11:30 a.m.
No other details have been made public.
