FOREST ACRES, SC (WIS) - Police in Forest Acres are looking for thieves who stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment from landscapers.

Mowers, lumber and trimmers were all taken from Superior Southern Landscaping.

This, after one of their trailers vanished in the middle of the night.

In Superior Southern's case their owners were keeping their trailer parked at a home they're renting off Juarez Court.

Workers say it was Friday morning when they discovered that the trailer and Dodge Ram truck it was attached to was missing.

Inside they say was about $30,000 worth of landscaping gear --- including personal tools belonging to employees.

The thieves backed it out of the driveway, then proceeded to slash tires on two vehicles belonging to people renting the home.

"My major concern ever was that somebody would break into the trailer," said Dustin Westmoreland with Superior Southern Landscaping. "It never crossed my mind that they would take the trailer not to mention the truck it was attached to."

Superior Southern says it does have insurance to cover the gear -- however owners say it will take weeks to get their claim processed.

That they say will lead to lost work time --- since now they're only down to one truck.

Anyone with any information that can help police in this case is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
