COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Should the Naval Brig in Charleston be the future home for Guantanamo Bay detainees? Our state's top leader says, "Absolutely not!"

Imagine that. Dozens of terrorists in South Carolina. Including some with ties to 9/11. Actually living in The Holy City.

The closure of Guantanamo Bay detention center has been a top priority for the Obama administration for years. Congressional opposition, however, has been strong.

And just this week Governor Nikki Haley said that any attempt to move detainees to South Carolina would be a "waste of time."

"We are absolutely drawing a line that we are absolutely not going to allow any terrorists to come into South Carolina," Haley said.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott has also been vocal on social media about the potential move.

Our leaders are drawing a line in the sand and I agree with them. Enemy combatants of the United States don't belong here.

South Carolinians need to send a united message to national leaders: find somewhere else to house the people many see as terrorists.

That's My Take, what's yours?
