Man recovering after Eastover shooting

EASTOVER, SC (WIS) - Richland County deputies are searching for a suspect after an early Sunday morning shooting in Eastover.

Sgt. Kevin Lawrence, a spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies responded to a shots fired call around 4:30 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Main Street in Eastover.

When deputies arrived, they made contact with the male victim who reported getting into a verbal fight with the suspect. Deputies say the suspect shot the victim in the lower body. He was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect took off from the scene.
