Man wanted for making purchases with cloned credit card

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Deputies in Richland County are searching for a man after he made purchases using a cloned credit card.

According to Sgt. Kevin Lawrence of the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the man went to a store on Two Notch Road and bought over $200 in goods on June 5th.

Authorities describe the suspect as an African-American male standing about six feet tall with a large build. The man was wearing a white V-neck shirt and dark pants.

Citizens are encouraged to remain attentive while shopping. Authorities say there are people who are out to steal customers' personal information using a camera phone or other devices illegally connected to scanning devices in order to compromise your debit or credit card.
