Arrests made in deadly shooting outside Leesville nightclub

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Lexington County Sheriff's deputies have arrested two men on murder charges related to a deadly shooting last weekend that killed an Aiken man and injured another.

Donavon Tirrell Brannon, 26, of Batesburg and Shantrez Alejandro Robertson of Winnsboro are charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Brannon is held without bond at the Lexington County Detention Center. Robertson is awaiting a bond hearing.

According to arrest warrants, Brannon and Robertson are accused of shooting 34-year-old William Tyrone Gantt during an argument outside The Spot nightclub on Parrish Road early Saturday morning.

The Lexington County Coroner determined Gantt died from a bullet that pierced his lungs.

Brannon and Robertson are accused of shooting 30-year-old Brandon Jeffrey of Aiken when they fired guns into a crowd standing outside the club. Jeffrey was shot in the leg and is expected to recover from his wounds.

Deputies continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
