DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - If you've ever wanted the chance to experience NASCAR up close, you'll have your chance pretty soon.

On June 10, the Darlington Raceway will host an open NASCAR test session from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The session is free to the public and will allow fans to see some of NASCAR's top drivers in action.

"This is a great free opportunity for fans to watch NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams race around our famed oval for the first time in nearly 14 months," Darlington Raceway President Chip Wile said. "This will be the only time the teams and drivers will be able to see Darlington before the series returns on Labor Day weekend."

Jimmie Johnson is one of the 10 drivers scheduled to appear during the test session. Johnson has won six series championships since 2006.

Slated to join him in Darlington are Aric Almirola, Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Jamie McMurray, Ryan Newman, and Martin Truex, Jr.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take a photo with the new Darlington pace car.

The test session comes two months before Darlington hosts the Bojangles Southern 500 on Labor Day weekend.
