WINNSBORO, SC (WIS) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is asking for the public's help finding a man wanted for a home invasion in Winnsboro.

At about 12:30 a.m.on May 13, a woman woke up to find a man she didn't know standing in the bedroom doorway of her home on Marion Avenue. The woman shouted for her brother, who also lives in the house, and he confronted the intruder in the hallway.

Winnsboro Police Chief Freddie Lorick says the two men got into a physical struggle inside the house and, at one point, the brother held the intruder at gunpoint. Lorick says the man eventually escaped through a window which he'd used to enter the home.

The man got into a 90's model Jeep Cherokee with another person inside. Witnesses could not provide a description of the other person inside the Jeep.

The man is described as about six feet tall and 200 pounds. A composite drawing is attached to this story. If you recognize this man or know anything about the incident, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
