Final 2 arrests made in mob attack

NEWBERRY, SC (WIS) - Newberry County Sheriff's deputies have arrested the last two people who allegedly participated in a what investigators describe as a brutal mob attack.

Deputies arrested Javonne Dewayne Koonce, 23, of Prosperity and Kelvin Cahill Davenport, 18, of Newberry on Friday.

One of the victims said that the attack started while she and her boyfriend were visiting some friends. She said that she was approached and assaulted, almost immediately, by a group of females at a residence on Beacon Lane. At the same time she says her boyfriend fought with a separate individual and was assaulted by four other men.

The male victim sustained significant, but non-life threatening injuries including bruising and swelling to his face and eyes, investigators said.

The couple was treated at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital for their injuries and released.

Alyssa Williams, 17, of Pomaria, Jessinia Rose Fischer, 21, of Newberry, Krystal Leann Crowley, 18, of Newberry, Michael Gallman, Jr., 20,  of Newberry and Antwan Lamar Gallman, 21 of Newberry, have already been arrested in connection with the alleged attack.The sheriff's department has not released when the incident took place.
