Investigation leads to discovery of drugs, cash and guns

SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Resident complaints led to the arrests of three men and the seizure of nearly $11,000 in cash and about 2 pounds of marijuana valued at about $4,000 on Thursday.

Jhase Shavar Bradley, 27, Tyshon Robinson, 37, and James Christopher Wilson, 28, were charged with possession with intent to distribute, Sumter police said.

An assault rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia were also found at the home on Warren Court in Sumter.

The Sumter Police Department Organized Crime and Vice Unit had been investigating resident complaints for several months, police said.

"We listened to their concerns, investigated and acted on the evidence found from our investigation," Sumter Police Chief Russell Roark said. "Key to our efforts were those calls from the public, which we encourage in any situation."

Bradley, Robinson and Wilson were transported to the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
