ORLANDO, FL (WIS) - A little over a month after coming away with a 35-17 win over South Carolina, Clemson returned to practice in Orlando as they gear up to face Oklahoma Sooners on December 29.
"We had a good practice, a good start to our work week," Dabo Swinney said. "We have to continue to work hard this week. This was just like a Monday and I want everyone to be in that frame of mind. Tomorrow we will practice at Tinker Field and it will be like a Tuesday (even though it will be Christmas Day)."
Swinney believes his team is a good place mentally as they continue to prepare for Bob Stoops' squad. The Tigers are looking for their 10th win of the year giving Swinney's bunch a little more inspiration. Should they achieve the feat, it would them 10 wins for the fourth straight year.
"Only Alabama, Oregon and Northern Illinois have done that and we are the only team in the nation that can join them with a bowl win," Swinney noted. "That is the type of consistency we want to be known for. We also have a chance for a third straight bowl win, something that has not been done at Clemson since the 1986-90 era."
Clemson will return to practice on Thursday afternoon after having a Christmas celebration at brunch.
