Gaston man convicted of trafficking counterfeit goods, illegal medications

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The U.S. Attorney's office has announced 51-year-old Arthur Fleming Moler was found guilty of trafficking counterfeit goods, smuggling illegal medications and theft of government services.

According to testimony provided during his trial, U.S. Customs agents found hundreds of counterfeit designer handbags, sunglasses, electronic equipment and over $2 million in counterfeit erectile dysfunction medications. Agents discovered these items in a Shop Road warehouse after finding counterfeit golf equipment being shipped from China to the warehouse.

Moler faces a 20-year prison sentence and a $2 million fine.
