Deputies: 6 arrested after Rembert drug bust

Sumter County deputies have arrested 6 people after the seizure of marijuana and crack cocaine Friday.

SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Lennie Dwhyne Belton, 25, Josephine McCray Simon,57, Thomas Edward McCray,60, William Kennedy McCray, 51, and 29-year-old Tiffany Donminque Wilson, have been taken into custody.

All are facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, and manufacturing crack cocaine.

Michael Evan Dinkins, 31, was also taken into custody and faces a single possession of marijuana charge.

Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence at 6750 Spring Hill Road in Rembert.

During their search, officers say they recovered approximately three pounds of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $13,590, crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $100, a rifle, two handguns, and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.

Additional arrests and charges are possible as deputies continue to investigate.
