CAMDEN, SC (WIS) - A Camden man died Friday morning in an officer-involved shooting involving a U.S. Marshal, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.

Kershaw County Deputy Coroner Doris McGougan said Joseph Glenn Folsom, Jr. died from a gunshot wound at his home on Blue Heron Lane near Lake Wateree.

Folsom was convicted in June on four counts of interstate transportation of stolen money following a three-day trial.

When Folsom failed to show up to prison this week, a warrant was issued for his arrest, court records show.

An autopsy for Folsom is scheduled Saturday in Newberry.

SLED continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
