UNION COUNTY, SC (WYFF) - South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigators were searching for clues in an officer-involved shooting Friday.

Authorities said Joshua Burbage, 28, of Winnsboro, faces charges of assault and battery.

Warrants said Burbage rammed a deputy's patrol car with a pickup truck, which led to a Union County sheriff's deputy being forced to fire a weapon.

Officials at the Union County Detention Center said Burbage also faces charges of shoplifting, failing to stop for a blue light and driving under suspension.
