Man sentenced to 3 years in prison for assaulting couple in Five Points

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A man accused of assaulting a couple in Columbia's Five Points more than two years ago has pleaded guilty.
Prosecutors say Michael Blaszczyk hit a man in the face, knocking him to the ground in August of 2012.
The victim and the woman told police that Blaszczyk and two other men approached them on Wheat Street.
He was sentenced to three years in prison.
