COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department said Thursday a man who went missing this week has been found in Greenville, North Carolina.

Officials in Greenville told Columbia police that Hugh F. Robinson was involved in a car accident and was taken to a local hospital.

Police said Robinson left his residence around 8 a.m. in his 2005 gold 4-door Cadillac Deville.

Relatives reported him missing Tuesday night and said that it is not common for Robinson to leave home and not return in a reasonable amount of time.

Family members told CPD investigators that Robinson is beginning to display early signs of a cognitive disorder such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and has poor night vision.
