COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Investigators with the Columbia Police Department identified a third suspect wanted in connection with a burglary at a jewelry store last month.
Earl Adrian Vandiver, 54, will be charged with grand larceny and criminal conspiracy once found, Jennifer Timmons with the Columbia Police Department said.
Robert Antoine Weathers, 53, and Robin Tracy Nelson, 50, were arrested earlier this month after a tip led Baltimore County Police officers to a hotel in Catonsville, Maryland, Timmons said.
Timmons said Vandiver, Weathers, Nelson and at least one other unidentified suspect allegedly stole more than $100,000 worth of diamonds from a Bush River Road jewelry store in June.
National law enforcement partners believe that all of the suspects, including additional accomplices target smaller, independent jewelry stores and may have stolen between $350,000 and $500,000 worth of jewels and money, Timmons said.
A time frame for extradition of Weathers and Nelson has not been set.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Vandiver is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
