NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Three men wanted in connection with a home invasion in Newberry County back in May have been apprehended by sheriff's deputies.

According to Sheriff Lee Foster, Rashawn Marquese Miller, 23, Rison Aikeem Jackson, 26, and Andrew Khiry Ward, 22, are all being hit with various burglary and strong armed robbery charges for the May 23 incident.

Foster says the three men broke into a home on Highway 395 in the middle of the night. The residents inside the home were awakened by the sounds of the forced entry, officials say.

One of those residents managed to escape the home and call the sheriff's office for help.

The three suspects, however, managed to assault a resident, ransack the home, steal several items, and flee the scene, Foster says.

Sheriff's investigators now believe at least one of the victims in this case knew one of more of the suspects through college.

The investigation continues.
