IRMO, SC (WIS) - The Irmo Fire Marshal says a fire at a golf course Tuesday afternoon appears to have an accidental cause.

According to Irmo Fire Marshal Jeff Allen, a maintenance building caught fire at the Club at Rawls Creek around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. The Club at Rawls Creek is located off Lake Murray Boulevard between Irmo and the Lake Murray dam.

Seven trucks were called to the scene to fight the blaze, including crews from Irmo, Lexington County Fire Department and the Columbia Fire Department. Allen said there was no nearby water source, so pumper trucks had to bring in water to the scene to battle the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Allen says he will be back at the golf course Wednesday to talk to employees about what was in the shed near where the fire started. After those questions are answered, Allen said he will determine what caused the fire.
