Victim in Broad River Road shooting identified

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Richland County Coroner's Office has identified the single fatality in a domestic-related shooting that happened Wednesday morning off Broad River Road.
Coroner Gary Watts says 23-year-old Dajuan N. Harris died due to multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The news comes after the Richland County Sheriff's Department charged Dexter Lamons Myers, a relative of the couple who were both shot around 8:30 a.m. at the Brook Pine Apartments complex.
Myers has been charged with murder and attempted murder. A second suspect remains in custody, but he has not been charged with anything yet, according to sheriff's department spokesperson Curtis Wilson.
A second victim, a female, was also wounded in the shooting. At last check, she was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Residents in the area, like Caleb Miller, are now trying to process just what happened in this case.
"It makes me feel glad that I am moving out in a month, and I just hope it doesn't happen to someone else," said Miller.
