Columbia police officer arrested for threatening wife with a gun

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A City of Columbia police officer was arrested Sunday after threatening his wife with a gun, Capt. Chris Cowan with the Richland County Sheriff's Department said.

Cowan said Leon Sealey, 64, was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence after putting a gun in his wife's face at a home in the 3800 block of Overdale Drive.

Sealey was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. A bond has not been set.

Jennifer Timmons with the Columbia Police Department said Master Police Officer Sealey has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
