LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Investigators in Lexington County have finally been able to identify a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting on Berryhill Road back in February.

Sheriff James Metts says 31-year-old Brandon E. Ratliff was killed outside the Cockpit Bar and Grill early in the morning of Feb. 2.

Metts says deputies are now seeking Gregory Lamont Brooks, 20, on charges of murder, unlawful possession of ahandgun, andpossession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Metts says investigators have since learned Brooks, who once had a head full of dreadlocks, shaved his head bald in order to throw detectives off.

Investigators now say Ratliff was attempting to break up a fight between Brooks and other customers at the bar when Brooks opened fire.
