COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - As lawmakers in Washington DC debate an aid package of over $1 billion to the beleaguered and besieged Ukraine, NBC News cameras and a live microphone caught a seemingly rare moment of cooperation between a South Carolina Republican and a member of the Obama administration.
Testifying at a meeting of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Secretary of State John Kerry was approached by Sen. Lindsey Graham.
"Hey, John, good job," said Graham to Kerry with a handshake. "Let me know what I can do to help you with Boehner."
Of course, Graham is talking about House Speaker John Boehner and how Graham might be able to help convince Boehner to support and take up a measure on sending aid to Ukraine.
According to NBC, the House of Representatives passed an aid package earlier in the week, but the Senate rejected it.
