ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WYFF) Investigators said a teenage girl got into an argument with her mother at the Interstate 185 rest stop in Anderson County and took off running into the woods Sunday.
More than 30 people were called in to search for the teen and a bloodhound named Dixie was able to find the girl about a hour later.
"It makes me feel great," said Jonathan Williams with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. "She did a great job."
Investigators said the girl was hiding about a mile into the woods.
The teen was the first missing person Dixie found, but the incident was the third in less than two months where she used her nose to lead deputies to a person they were looking for.
Investigators said the teen was returned to her mother.
